Hello to all of our Burnham Families!
We would like you all to know how happy we are to welcome our students back to school this year. It is always great to see the excitement and happiness in a child's face on their first day of school! We would like to thank our families for their cooperation while we handle our transportation issues at school. We have been working with our transportation provider, Kickert School Bus Co. to provide safe transportation to and from school. Unfortunately, there is a statewide shortage of bus drivers and our service has been reduced this year. Starting Monday, 9/13/2021, we will again have two (2) buses to pick up students for arrival at school. The buses will now be picking up students at 8 am on both buses running simultaneously. We do not yet have a second bus for dismissal at this time and will continue to use one bus for both routes. Bus 1 will run right after school at 2:50 pm, and Bus 2 will leave Burnham School at approximately 3:45 pm. We will alternate our late bus every two weeks. Starting Monday 9/20/21, Bus 2 will depart school at 2:50 pm with Bus 1 will leave at 3:45 pm. We hope to have another bus soon for our afternoon departures but until then, we will continue to alternate the late pick up between our two school bus routes. If it is at all possible, please arrange to have your child picked up after school and let the office know so that we can make arrangements. Again, we thank you for your cooperation and we are excited to have our children back in school for in-person instruction.
